We started working with Jenny in 2015 and since then she has proven to be a real asset to the agency, having been involved in many of our campaigns over the past year. She is a very quick learner and adapts well to any role, showing initiative and enthusiasm in all that she does. Her willingness to get involved and to work hard has made her a truly valuable member of the team, and with an interesting and varied background in events, Jenny is a highly capable and adaptable brand ambassador who is well suited to any campaign.

We put some questions to Jenny…

How did your career in events and promotions begin, what is your background?

I studied events at university after working with various team building companies and hotels where I worked on weddings, conferences and events. When I took a career break from hospitality last year, I found promo through a friend who works in the industry.

If you were to give an advice to a fellow brand ambassador, what would it be?

Work hard, get recognised and work your way up whilst you have fun! It’s a fun industry and is better paid than a lot of jobs. Also check the weather if you’re working outside and plan your clothing and meals accordingly. Be accountable.

What are you up to when you are not working on promotional campaigns?

I’m just starting out as a wedding & events planner. I love the gym, hanging out with my buddies, and my faith.

How do you find juggling promo with another commitment or job? What advice can you give to others who are considering doing promo part-time?

It can be challenging running my own business alongside promo so anyone considering it must be forward planning and disciplined. I use a spreadsheet to plan my promo days, my business days and also my rest days so I don’t burn out.

What role do you enjoy doing the most and is there any particular role which you would like to try which you haven’t done yet?

I really enjoy working with brands that engage us a lot first and help us understand their ethos and product so that we can be a real ambassador for them when the general public ask questions. I like the variety of promo so I don’t really have a preferred role, although not standing outside leafleting on a cold wet February day is always a bonus!

Finally, how do you find working for eventeem?

I love working with eventeem, eventeem is 1 of my top 2 promo companies. The pay is good, regular and the ladies in the office are friendly, approachable and fair.
