Meet Sara Manchipp…

March #eventeemer of the month!

Role: Brand Ambassador
Nearest Cities: Swansea and Cardiff
Chosen For: Her adaptability and commitment to multiple campaigns this month, and her unfaltering enthusiasm and ever-optimistic outlook!

As a relatively new member of eventeem, Sara has proven in recent months to be one of our most loyal and hard working brand ambassadors. She has adapted to various campaigns and in particular been a real hit with our local and public sector clients as a truly patriotic fluent Welsh speaker.

Former Miss Wales, Sara beams with confidence and is a natural people person with an infectious, warm personality and great team spirit. She came to us through recommendation from another member of staff and we’ve been keeping her busy ever since!

Sara is currently working on the second leg of our Education Begins at Home Roadshow, covering the Swansea area and Rhondda Cynon Taff in South Wales before heading up to Denbighshire and Gwynedd in North Wales, and has also recently taken part in the Welsh Government’s Welsh Language campaign, and a Waste Awareness Roadshow for the Welsh Local Government Association.

We put some questions to Sara…

Sara, how did you discover promotions and why did you feel this industry was right for you?
I first discovered promotions when I was lucky enough to win Miss Wales in 2011, and I thrived on being a representative for the company. Having the responsibility of representing a brand name is something that I take pride in and always perform to my highest ability ensuring that the brand is represented in the best light. Throughout my reign I was responsible for representing numerous brands such as beauty products and clothing ranges, and from there I felt that promotions was the perfect job for me; nearly four years on  and I haven’t looked back! 🙂

What is your favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of the job is interacting with people and finding out things about them. I’m a person that has a lot of time for people from all walks of life, and love morning more than chatting and finding out about someone’s life. For example I love chatting to the elderly about their lives and what has changed in society and being able to appreciate the world from a different perspective is something that I feel should be done more often 🙂

What has been your favourite/most memorable job to date?

My favourite job to date was representing Wales at the 6 nations in 2012 at the Wales v France game, where I was asked to give a speech to the French team and the French fans and important people that had come to watch the game. I told them all how amazing we were as a country and how proud I was to represent Wales; one hour down the line and we had won the grand slam!

What are you up to when you are not working on promotional campaigns?
When I’m not working on campaigns I fill my time working as a student mentor at Swansea university, I work at Subway (been there for 7 years) I’m a regular guest on programmes on S4C whilst I’m waiting to return to my postgraduate studies at Swansea university 🙂

Tell us an unusual fact about yourself!
An unusual fact about myself is that I want to be an archaeologist or a paleontologist as I am an avid fossil collector! However the money isn’t very good so will stick to it as a hobby!

Finally, how do you find working for eventeem?

I find working for eventeem refreshing and exhilarating. The event managers are always so enthusiastic and the campaigns are professionally run and are an absolute pleasure to be a part of. I feel privileged to work for such a wonderful company!
