Here at eventeem we’re delighted to welcome yet another new addition to the team. Katie Fox, in the role of staffing executive, will be responsible for interviewing and allocating our event team members, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with clients. We sat down with Katie to find out more about our newest recruit.
Before joining eventeem, I worked for the Wales office of an extras casting agency finding extras for film, TV and commercials. During my three years in extras casting, I found Tibetan Monks, Inca Warriors and a bearded lady. From my time there, I discovered real passion for working with people and getting to know their strengths.
I’m excited to bring this passion to eventeem, where I’ll be booking staff and organising events, meeting each client’s needs. I see similarities between extras casting and promotional staffing, in terms of finding the right people, but I’m excited to face new challenges and learn new skills.
What are you most looking forward to about joining eventeem?
I’m looking forward to working directly with the wide range of staff eventeem have from all over the country, not just locally in Cardiff. I’m also equally excited to work with the diverse range of clients they provide staff and other services for. I’m also very excited to gain experience in the events and promotional field, an extremely interesting and growing area.
When not at work, what do you do for fun?
I love films, you’ll usually find me either at the cinema, watching a film at home or reading about films. I also love to cook, so I enjoy hunting around local markets for ingredients I’ve never used, to make new recipes.
Tell us an unusual fact about yourself!
Although I love cooking and watch The Great British Bake Off religiously, I cannot bake to save my life and am generally terrified of making deserts.
