welcoming alex to our team as staffing executive
As you may have heard, our team has grown recently. We’re pleased to introduce to you our newest Staffing Executive, Alex Butterworth. Alex will be working in our staffing team, responsible for vetting applications from new promotional staff, active recruitment, shortlisting staff for campaigns and events and ensuring our teams are briefed and ready to work.
You’ll have plenty of chances to get to know her but we thought we’d give you a glimpse into the life of eventeem’s newest team member.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you’ll be doing for eventeem:
I’m a Psychology graduate from Cardiff University with a passion for people. Here at eventeem I’m going to be responsible for recruiting and supporting our brand ambassadors, team leaders and event managers, as well as working to deliver a flawless campaign for each of our clients.
What were you doing before you joined the team?
I previously worked for the National Union of Students Wales, travelling all over the nation working to develop positive working relationships between students and their universities. I love to learn new things and even started a TEFL course to develop my teaching skills.
What are you most looking forward to about joining eventeem?
Being able to interact with a vast range of people on a daily basis. I’m also really excited to start working on campaigns and all the variety that will bring!
When not at work, what do you do for fun?
I love music and theatre! I’m actually part of a Cardiff based theatre company that raises money for Alzheimer’s Research UK – a charity that’s very close to my heart. I also have a embarrassing love of quiz shows and once managed to worm my way into the audience of an episode of ‘Pointless’.
Tell us an unusual fact about yourself!
I spent a summer living in Midwestern USA working in a 100 year-old ice cream parlour. I lived in a woodland cabin and had the enormous Lake Michigan as my back garden!
